Voice, memory & lenses

Three things shape how ask the sky — the launcher's built-in AI assistant — talks with you: whether it speaks its replies, whether it remembers past chats, and which lens — a shared AI mode — is active. Each is a quick toggle in the ask panel.

#Turn talk-back on or off

Ask the sky reads its replies aloud by default, using your device's own voice.

1. Open the ask the sky panel.
2. Tap the "🔊" button in the header to mute — it becomes "🔇". Tap again to turn speech back on.

Muting also stops whatever is being spoken right now.

#Remember a chat (Gold)

Normally the assistant forgets the conversation when you close the panel. Chat memory keeps it, so the sky can refer back to past chats. This is a (Gold) feature.

1. Open the ask the sky panel.
2. Tap the "✦" button in the header to turn memory on. Without Gold, this opens the upgrade sheet instead.

What's kept stays on your device only. To read, edit, or erase it, open Settings › ask the sky and the "chat memory · what the sky remembers" section. Erasing is always free, Gold or not — its "erase everything" clears both the saved chat and the shared ask log.

#Switch a lens

A lens changes how the assistant responds — a mode shared across the suite. Lenses come from the Zenith AI app, so the lens button appears only when Zenith AI is installed.

1. Open the ask the sky panel.
2. Tap the "◉" button in the header to open the lens list.
3. Tap a lens to turn it on or off.

Switching a lens changes the how, never the who — Cielo, the assistant's persona, stays the same.
