The one-handed sky

On a big phone, the top of the screen is a stretch. The good news is that Zenith's main gesture already meets your thumb where it is. A few small choices make the rest reachable too.

#The ring comes to your thumb

Hold anywhere on the empty sky — your whole home screen — and after a short pause the ring — a wheel of your apps — blooms right under your finger. It opens where you touch, not in a fixed spot, so wherever your thumb rests is where your apps appear. This is the heart of a one-handed sky: you never reach for the apps, they come to you. #Put actions in the bottom corners

Holding in a screen corner runs a bound action instead of opening the ring. The two bottom corners fall right under a thumb, so give them the things you reach for most. Out of the box the bottom-left holds "ask the sky" — the built-in assistant — and the bottom-right holds "settings", and you can rebind either to any app, folder, or action. #Reach your apps from inside other apps

You don't have to return to the sky to launch something. Turn on the quick ring — a small floating bubble that sits over every app — and a tap on it blooms the ring wherever you are. It keeps everything one thumb-tap away even when you're deep in another app. It's free and off until you turn it on; it needs the "display over other apps" permission. See Quick Ring over any app.

One tip. Set your hold spot low. If you always start the hold near the bottom of the screen, the ring blooms low too, and every app lands inside your thumb's arc.
