New to Zenith? Let's get you to a home screen you can actually use. In five minutes you'll set Zenith up, learn the one gesture everything is built on, and place your first app. No prior setup needed.

1. Make Zenith your home (about 1 minute)

When you first open Zenith it walks you through a short welcome. On the "make zenith your home" step, tap "set as default →" and confirm. That's it — pressing Home now brings you back to Zenith. Everything else in the welcome is optional; you can skip it and come back later.

2. Meet the sky

What you're looking at is the sky — your whole home screen. It starts nearly empty on purpose: there's no grid of icons, because your apps live one gesture away.

3. Learn the one gesture: hold to open the ring

Press and hold anywhere on the empty sky. After a short moment a ring — a wheel of your apps — blooms right under your finger. Without lifting, slide onto any app and let go: it opens.

That single move — hold, slide, lift — is how you launch everything in Zenith. Try it a few times.

4. Place your first app

Now let's add an app to your ring so it's always there.

  1. Hold the sky to open the ring.
  2. Slide onto the button and lift — this opens the "add" panel.
  3. Pick Apps, then choose an app.
  4. Drag to aim where it should sit on the ring, and lift to drop it. You've placed your first star — an app you keep on the sky.

5. You're set

That's a working Zenith: it's your home screen, you know the core gesture, and you've placed your first star. From here, explore at your own pace — a good next step is choosing a look you like in Settings › background & light. (Prefer to start with apps already in place? The last welcome step can set you up with a ready-made starter ring instead of a bare sky.)
