Gestures & inputs

Zenith has no app drawer and no rows of icons to scroll. You reach everything by touch on the sky — your home screen. This part is the full set of those gestures: what each one is, how to do it, and what changes it.

Start here. One gesture underlies the rest: press and hold empty sky and a ring — a wheel of your apps — blooms under your finger. Learn that first in Hold to bloom the ring, then Slide to launch.

What's in this part.

• Open and use the ring — hold to bloom, slide to launch, descend into folders, the ring dock, and pinch to zoom.
• Build your sky — place a star and move a star.
• Shortcut gestures — flicks, corner and edge holds, double-tap, draw a circle to the star index, and talismans.

Most gestures open your own apps and ask nothing of you. A handful reach the phone itself and need a permission first; those are honest about it, and all of them are optional. See The permissions gestures need, and why.
