Draw a circle to the star index

What it is. Drawing a loop on the sky — your home screen — opens the star index — the quick A–Z picker for all your apps. Apps fan out in alphabetical letter groups on a curve at the right edge of the screen.
How to do it. With the quick-circle trigger on, draw a full loop anywhere on the sky. Zenith reads the shape and opens the star index. From there, open a letter group and pick an app.
What affects it.
- The trigger has to be on. The quick circle is a switch you turn on in Settings › regions & star index.
- Two other ways in. You can also drag in from the right edge, or set one region — a zone of the sky — to open the index when you hold there. Both are set on the same settings page.
- It comes before a talisman. Because a circle is claimed by the star index, drawing one does not cast a circular talisman — a gesture shortcut. See Talismans — draw, inscribe, cast.
