Other apps can reach into your launcher. When you share something to Zenith, ask another app to add a shortcut to your home screen, or want the ring — the wheel of your apps that opens under your finger — while you're inside another app, this is how each one works.

Share something to Zenith

Share content from another app and pick Zenith, and a sheet titled "shared to Zenith" opens with a preview and a few choices:

  1. "add to the Shuttle" — keep it in the shuttle, the suite's shared tray, for any Zenith app to pick up later.
  2. "place as a star" — put it on your sky — your home screen — as a star (an app, folder, or shortcut). You pick which region — zone of the sky — it lands in.
  3. "ask the sky about it" — hand text to ask the sky, the built-in AI assistant. (Shown for text when the assistant isn't hidden.)
  4. "open it" — open a shared link where it lives. (Shown for links.)
  5. "send to <app>" — hand it straight to another Zenith app that can take it.

Zenith never drops shared content silently — you always choose what happens to it.

Add a shortcut to your home screen

Some apps offer to add a shortcut to your home screen — a browser bookmark, a note, a playlist. Because Zenith is your home app, that request comes to it.

  • The shortcut is filed into Direct, Zenith's pin inbox. Nothing lands on your sky yet.
  • You place it later, like any star, from the add screen — choosing its ring, angle, and orbit.
  • A widget added this way isn't placed here. Add widgets yourself from the add screen's widgets section instead.

Turn on Quick Ring over any app

Quick Ring floats a small "✦" bubble on top of every app, so you can bloom the ring and launch something without leaving where you are.

  1. Open Settings › system.
  2. Turn on "✦ quick ring — the ring over any app".
  3. When asked, grant "display over other apps" — the bubble can't appear without it.

Tap the bubble anytime to open the ring; drag it to move it out of the way. Quick Ring is free, and off until you turn it on.
