Zenith is running and it's your home screen. Here are the five things worth doing on day one. None takes long, and every one is optional — do them in any order, or skip what you don't want.
- Make Zenith your home. If you haven't already, set it as your default launcher so the Home button brings you back to the sky — your home screen. You can undo this anytime. See Set Zenith as your default launcher.
- Learn the one gesture. Press and hold the empty sky until a ring — a wheel of your apps — blooms under your finger, then slide onto an app and lift to open it. This is how you launch everything. See Zenith in 5 minutes — your first sky.
- Get some apps onto your sky. During the welcome, the last step can hand you a ready-made starter ring so you're not staring at a bare sky. Started with the bare sky instead? Add your own apps one at a time. See Zenith in 5 minutes — your first sky.
- Turn on the extras you want. The welcome offers three optional permissions, each skippable: comets — your notifications, drifting across the sky to catch; zenith actions — a helper that lets gestures do system things like lock the screen, open recents, or pull down the notification shade; and weather & your real sky — local weather, plus the real night sky as a live background (Gold). Turn on only the ones you'll use.
- Know where settings live. Press and hold the lower-right corner of the sky to open settings. Zenith points this out the first time your sky appears, along with drawing a circle to see all your apps.
That's a solid first day. Explore the rest at your own pace.
