Zenith is built to sit quietly. If your battery drops faster than you'd like, or the sky — your home screen — feels less smooth than it should, a few settings turn the load down. None of them change what your apps do.

#Calm the animations

The sky animates sparks, trails, and pulses. Turning those down is the biggest lever for smoothness, especially on older phones.

1. Open Settings → accessibility.
2. Under "motion", turn on "reduce motion — calm sparks, trails, pulses".

This ships off by default.

#Turn off the quick ring if you don't use it

The quick ring — the bubble that floats the ring, a wheel of your apps, over other apps — runs as a background service with a quiet, ongoing notice. If you don't use it, switch it off to drop that background work.

• Turn the "✦ quick ring — the ring over any app" toggle off in Settings.

That ongoing notice is normal while the quick ring is on — it's how Android allows the bubble to stay up, not a sign of a problem.

#Turn weather off to stop background requests

Weather is the only thing Zenith reaches out to the network for on its own, and only when it's on. With weather off, no request is ever made — which saves both battery and location use.

#The sky's voice

Zenith's sounds are generated on the fly and never pause your music, so they stay light. They aren't a battery concern, but if you'd rather have quiet you can turn them down in the sound settings.

#When the phone is the culprit

If Zenith keeps getting killed and relaunched, some phones burn battery restarting it. Allowing it to run in the background actually helps here — the per-brand steps are in Per-OEM matrix.
