Holding a drifting comet freezes it and opens open, dismiss, and snooze.

A comet — a notification drifting across the sky, your home screen — can be caught right where it flies. Hold one and a small menu opens so you can act on it without leaving home.

Comets are on by default, but they only appear once you give Zenith notification access.

Turn on the comet feed (first time)

  1. Open Settings › system › comets · notifications.
  2. Tap "enable comet feed →".
  3. In the system screen, turn on notification access for Zenith.

Settings then reads "comet feed connected ✦", and new notifications drift by as comets.

Catch one

  1. Wait for a comet to drift across the sky.
  2. Press and hold on it.
  3. Keep holding until it stops and a small menu opens beside it.
  4. Choose "open", "dismiss", or "snooze 30 min".

The choice acts on the real notification behind the comet.
