I lost / can't find X
Nothing in Zenith is truly gone just because it's off the sky — your home screen. Most "missing" things are one gesture away. Match your case below.
I can't find an app
Every installed app lives in the deep sky — the full, searchable A–Z list of your apps.
- Flick up on the sky to open the deep sky.
- Type into "search the sky" at the bottom.
Or draw a quick circle on the sky to open the star index — the same apps sorted into letter groups. (You can also open it by dragging in from the right edge.)
A star vanished from my sky
A star is an app, folder, or shortcut you've placed.
- You may be on a different sky. A sky is a whole separate setup with its own stars. Open Settings and, in the skies section at the top, tap another sky's name to switch. (Keeping more than one sky is a Gold feature.)
- The app may still be installed but not placed. Find it in the deep sky (above) and place it again.
I can't get to Settings
The deep sky can always reach Settings, so no gesture or corner assignment can lock you out.
- Flick up to open the deep sky.
- Tap the "zenith settings" row pinned at the top.
I lost a whole sky, or my setup
If you have a backup file (a .zbak), restore it: open the star chart page in Settings, tap "open…", and pick the file. A backup brings back your stars, settings, talismans, and icons. Without a backup, there's nothing to restore from a server — Zenith keeps data only on your device. See Backup / restore & new-phone data loss.
