Things it asks first
Some things ask the sky — the Journal's AI — can do can't be taken back, or send something out. These are guarded twice: by a switch you set, and by your yes each time.
Which ones
- sending an entry to the burn pile, or deleting a journal — both can still be pulled back for 30 days
- burning the burn pile now
- making a share, or sending a show out
- putting an entry's words on the shuttle, or taking an item off it
- taking a template or an effect pack off the phone
- taking the sky's background picture away
- restoring a backup from Google Drive over everything on this phone
- burning the remembered talks, or writing them to a file
- throwing away a crash report
In settings › "ask the sky" › "what it may do", each wears ⚠.
The switch
settings › "ask the sky" › "let the sky do things that cannot be undone". It starts off.
- Off — any such action is held back without asking you, and the reply says "refused — things that cannot be undone are switched off in settings · ask the sky".
- On — the ask pauses and the sheet shows "⚠ the sky wants to: … that cannot be undone." with "allow it" and "no". For sending to the burn pile and deleting a journal it says "⚠ the sky wants to: <title>. you have 30 days to pull it back." instead. "no" is answered "refused — you said no".
The sky can never turn this switch on. Only you can.
Other Zenith apps
While the switch is off, these actions aren't offered to other Zenith apps' AI at all. See How the Journal fits the suite.
