People on a commitment

A commitment — anything on your calendar, an event or a thing to do — can name the people who will be there with you. They are the people it is "joined by". You pick them one at a time from the phone's own contact picker. It is free, and the names stay inside Zenith.

#Adding people

The "joined by" row sits on the commitment form, right under the place and its "⌖ pin it on the map" chip.

• Add someone. With nobody there, the chip reads "☌ someone from your contacts". With someone there, it reads "☌ one more". It opens the phone's contact picker. Pick one contact and you are back on the form, with that name on the row.
• Each person shows as a lit chip, the name in lower case with a cross — "ana ×". Tap it to take them off.
• Nobody is added if you pick someone already there, or a contact that cannot be read or has no name.
• No picker. If the phone offers none, the row says "nothing on this phone offers its contacts".
• Editing opens the row with the people already on it. Saving writes it back as it stands.

#Where they show

The brief is the list of a day's commitments along the bottom of the screen.

On the page, a name picked from your contacts is brighter. Tap it to open that person in the phone's contacts app. A plain name is dimmer and does nothing when tapped.

#What is kept

• No contacts permission. The app cannot look through your contacts. The picker hands back only the contact you chose, and the app reads its name and its link, nothing else. Nothing reaches Google Contacts.
• For each person, a name. For someone picked from your contacts, also a lasting link to that contact on this phone — no number, email or address. The link still finds them if the contacts app renumbers its entries.
• Plain names. A name the calendar's assistant added, or one that came from somebody else's phone, has no link.
• Once each. The same person is kept only once.

#Where they travel

• Backups and your own Drive copy carry them and bring them back, links included.
• Files you send carry every name as a plain name, with no contact link. That covers a card, and an almanac file — one of your calendars, a named, coloured layer of commitments — whether saved, put on the Shuttle (the suite's shared tray for passing text and files between Zenith apps), zipped, or beside its .zen. A link points to a contact on this phone, so it stays here.
• Names stay inside Zenith. A row in the phone's own calendars or a Google calendar gets only the title, notes, place and times. It never gets guests. Travel — moving an almanac's commitments into a Google calendar in your own account — never carries them either.

#By asking

Ask the sky — the calendar's built-in AI assistant — can add people by plain name when it places or changes a commitment. It can take them off by name, read them back, and find a commitment by who joins it. So when you use an AI service, the names can be part of what is sent. The contact links never are.
