Quick reference
The whole app on one page: what a finger does in each mode, every corner button, the dock, the settings list, and the ways in that need no opening. The bloom is the rings of your tasks that open where you touch. A star is one task; a node is a task holding others.
What a finger does
| you | "hold & drag" | "tap & place" |
|---|---|---|
| open a bloom | touch and hold still | tap |
| choose a star | slide onto it | tap it |
| complete a star | lift on it | tap it a second time |
| reopen a done star | lift on it | tap it a second time |
| go into a node | rest on it | tap it |
| fold a ring shut | slide back into the centre below | double tap empty sky |
| close the bloom | lift anywhere else | double tap empty sky at the first ring |
| see a star's details | slide onto • details and lift | hold the star about half a second |
| zoom and pan | add a second finger | two fingers |
| open settings | double tap empty sky, bloom shut | the "settings" button |
In both: the phone's back button closes one ring at a time, and a big Z drawn top to bottom closes everything. More in Hold & drag and Tap & place.

Ways in that need no opening
- "task it" — select text in any app, then "task it". It lands on the shuttle.
- Share — share text or pictures to "Zenith Tasks".
- The "Zenith Tasks" tile in the phone's quick settings opens quick add.
- The floating bubble opens quick add over any app.
- Widgets — "add task", and the tasks widget with "+".
- Long-press the Tasks icon for "quick capture" and "voice capture".
See Quick add, the tile & the bubble and Task it, share & voice capture.
Typed into a title
On a new task, or a line pasted or caught: "call Sam fri 3pm" gets a reminder for Friday at 3 pm; "water plants every monday" repeats weekly; "call Sam fri 3pm weekly" does both.
The three files
.zts — a sky · .ztd — a node · .zbak — every sky and your settings. See Save, open & back up.
