Link a Google account

How-to

You can link a Google account so the Zenith apps can use your own calendars, task lists, Drive files, photos, or contacts. You link it once, in the launcher, and every Zenith app on your phone can use it. It lives at Settings › suite connections — "link Google & more · once for every Zenith app".

  1. Open Settings › suite connections. The page fills the sheet; "←" takes you back to the settings list.
  2. Under "Add a Google account" and "Choose what to pull from it:", leave ticked the services you want, and untick the rest. All five start ticked: "Calendars", "Task lists", "Drive files", "Photos", "Contacts".
  3. Tap "Connect Google". It shows "Opening Google…", and Google's own sign-in and permission screens open.
  4. Choose your account and allow what you want on Google's screens.

When it works, you see "Linked <email>", and a card for the account appears under "Connected accounts".

With no box ticked, "Connect Google" only shows "Pick at least one service".

What Google is asked for

Google is asked for exactly the boxes you ticked, plus your account's email address:

BoxWhat Google is asked for
"Calendars"your calendar — to read and change it
"Task lists"your task lists
"Drive files"only the Drive files the Zenith apps make themselves — nothing else in your Drive
"Photos"photos you pick through Google's photo picker, read-only
"Contacts"your contacts, read-only

If you turn a service down on Google's screen, it isn't recorded, even though its box was ticked.

Above the button, a card explains who you're granting access to: "Who's getting access? Your Zenith apps — not any company." Google's screen will say "Zenith" — that means the apps on your phone.

  • "Cancelled" — you backed out of Google's screen.
  • "Connected, but couldn't read the account email" — nothing is saved. Try again.
  • "Google didn't grant any of the requested services" — nothing is saved. Try again, and allow at least one service.
  • "Authorization failed", or Google's own words — Google stopped the sign-in.

See and remove accounts

Each linked account has a card: its email, "Google · <email>", what it shares (for example "Calendars, Task lists"), and a "Remove" button. With nothing linked, the page reads "No accounts linked yet. Add one below — every Zenith app will use it." While the list loads, you may see "Checking…" for a moment.

Linking the same Google account again replaces its card; it doesn't add a second one.

"Remove" deletes the account and its sign-in from your phone, for every Zenith app at once. Zenith doesn't contact Google to do this. What Google itself keeps about the permission you gave is managed in your Google account.

Ask the sky — the built-in AI assistant — can list your linked accounts, and remove one while "allow destructive actions" is on. Linking is always yours to do.

The sign-in stays fresh on its own. If Google ever needs you to sign in again on its own screen, the account stops working until you link it again here. On a new phone, link your accounts again too.
