Paste a list & tomorrow plan

How-to

Two ways to get a lot down at once. Paste a list turns a list into stars in one go. Tomorrow plan walks you through everything you mean to do tomorrow.

Paste a list

A list from anywhere — notes, an email, a chat — becomes a node full of stars. A node is a task that holds others. In the app's words: "each line becomes a star, inside a new node."

  1. Copy the list in the other app.
  2. In Tasks, open settings › "capture" › "paste a list" — "every line becomes a star".
  3. Paste into "paste or type, one task per line…".
  4. Tap the button. It counts as you go: "add 5 tasks".

A new node called "pasted" appears at the top of the sky, with one star per line inside it.

  • "- ", "• " and "* " at the start of a line are dropped, and blank lines are skipped.
  • Each line is read like quick add, so "call Sam fri 3pm" gets its time and a reminder, and "every monday" its repeat.
  • The undo pill says "pasted 5 tasks".
  • "cancel" leaves nothing behind.

Adding the list takes you to the sky. "cancel", back, or swiping it away returns you to settings › "capture".

Tomorrow plan

A short sweep to make sure everything you mean to do tomorrow is written down. It only captures; you place things in your sky later.

Open it with "view", bottom right › "tomorrow plan". It opens "let's make sure it's all captured. sweep each area and jot anything you don't want to forget — you'll place it in your sky later."

"prompts" jog your memory: "work — due or to prep?", "errands & shopping", "people to reach", "home & chores", "health & self", "money & admin", "anything nagging you?". They are reminders to read, not buttons.

  1. Type in "add something for tomorrow…".
  2. Tap "add". Each line goes onto the shuttle — the suite's shared list of things in transit.

"captured now (N)" lists what you added this time, then "saved to the shuttle — open it to place them." See The Shuttle in Tasks.

The tally at the bottom counts open tasks marked priority or due in the next 36 hours: "you already have 4 tasks down for the near term. Nice." With none: "nothing scheduled yet — this is a good moment to get it down."
