The Shuttle in the calendar

The Shuttle — the suite's shared tray for passing text and files between Zenith apps — is one list for every Zenith app. What it is, and how it keeps things, is on the Shuttle. This page covers what the calendar does with it.

#Open the Shuttle

1. Tap the "shuttle" corner button at the top right. It shows a count of what is riding.
2. The panel slides in from the right, titled "the shuttle".

The same button is on a commitment's page — a commitment is anything on your calendar, an event or a thing to do — on an almanac's page — an almanac is one of your calendars, a named, coloured layer of commitments — and on the binder. Settings › shuttle opens the same panel.

#Use an item

Each row has a mark, words and ⋮.

1. Tap the mark to use the item. A file (⊐) opens read-only in its viewer. Text (❝) is copied to the clipboard. Hold the mark on a file to choose which app opens it.
2. Tap the words to see what the calendar can do with it.
3. Tap ⋮ to copy the text or a file's name, or tap "− let it go" to remove the item.

For text, tapping the words offers:

• "☄ make it a commitment" — the sky reads a date and time from it;
• "◉ place on ‹date›" — put it on the day you have picked;
• "✦ ask the sky about it" — while AI is on;
• "→ send to tasks" — with Zenith Tasks installed.

For a file, it offers "⊕ keep it in an almanac". Pick an almanac and the file is copied into its material — files attached to an almanac that its commitments share. A locked almanac refuses until you unlock it.

#Drag an item onto a day

1. Press and hold an item's words, then drag. The panel steps aside.
2. Let go on the sky — the whole calendar screen. In the week and month views it lands on the day under your finger. In the year and day views it lands on the day on screen; in the day view, at the hour on the rim.
3. For words, you see "the sky reads it…". The new commitment's form opens on that day, with a name read from the words, the words as notes, and the hour you dropped it at.
4. Check it and tap "place it". Nothing is placed until you do.

A dropped file opens the form named after it. Once placed, the file becomes the commitment's material. The item stays on the Shuttle either way.

With AI off, the words are read on the phone for title, date and time only. Nothing goes to an AI before you have said yes to it.

#What the calendar puts on the Shuttle

• "⇪ hold in the shuttle" on a commitment's share line, or "↗ share" on its page.
• A card or an almanac sent "to the shuttle".
• Text that arrives from another app, with "⇪ hold it in the shuttle for later".
• A file from "＋ add a file" at the foot of the panel.
• Spoken commitments that could not be placed.
• Anything ask the sky — the calendar's AI assistant — holds for you.

Files you take off the Shuttle are copied, so they stay even if the Shuttle's copy goes.

#Clear it

Tap "clear all", then "· clear it ·". This empties the Shuttle in every Zenith app, not only here — the Mind, Tasks and Launcher lists go too. Tap "· keep them ·" to back out.

You can ask the sky to hold text, list what is riding, copy an item, or make a commitment from its words. Letting items go or clearing the Shuttle by asking is a destructive action, so it needs "allow destructive actions" on (see Safety, consent & destructive actions).
