Tasks & Zenith Calendar
Tasks and Zenith Calendar work together on the phone. You send a task to Calendar as a commitment — Calendar's word for one thing you have to do. Calendar can send things to Tasks. And your stars with a due date show on their days in Calendar.
Send a task to Calendar
- Open the task's edit sheet.
- Under "actions", tap "📅 to calendar".
Tasks hands over the title, the note, the due date and time, and a link back to the task.
- By default Calendar opens its own new-commitment form, already filled in, for you to check and save. This works with the AI off.
- With "let ask the sky place calendar commitments" on, Calendar's own AI places it straight away, with no form, and Tasks says "added to your calendar". This way sends the title, the date and time and the link back, but not the note. No due date means today, all day; a due time of exactly midnight is all day. If Calendar's AI is off or refuses, the filled-in form opens instead.
The switch is at settings › "ask the sky", shown only while "zenith ai in this app" is on. It starts off, and only you can turn it on. See The ask the sky settings.
Without Zenith Calendar: "zenith calendar isn't on this phone".
"📅 on calendar"
Once Calendar has placed it, Calendar sends the link back, and the task shows "📅 on calendar". Tap it to open that commitment in Calendar. If it can't: "couldn't open the calendar."
Nothing else in the sky changes. To take it back, remove the commitment in Calendar.
From the shuttle
A shuttle row's "→ calendar" opens the same form with the row's words, with no link back to a task and no date. See The Shuttle in Tasks.
From Calendar to Tasks
Calendar can hand Tasks "turn this into a task". Tasks makes it at the top of the sky, opens its edit sheet, says "added to your sky", and links back to Calendar. A date Calendar hands over, if it is still ahead, becomes the task's due date and reminder.

Your dated stars in Calendar
Every star with a due date, in every open sky, is kept as one small list that Zenith Calendar can show on their days and open in Tasks. Each carries its title, when it's due, whether it's all day, whether it's done, its sky's name, and a link that opens Tasks straight to it.
- Any task at any depth with a due date counts — not tasks in skies closed to "saved on this phone".
- There's nothing to switch. Giving a star a date is enough.
- The list is refreshed when Tasks starts, and shortly after the last change to a star or a sky.
