Sound across the suite
Zenith apps can play soft sounds as you use them. There are two layers: short cues that every Zenith app shares, and each app's own voice. One switch turns the shared sound off everywhere at once.
The suite's shared cues
Every Zenith app shares one set of short cues: tap, click, select, open, close, add, remove, complete, error, nav and ask. They sound the same in every app, so a tap feels like a tap wherever you are.
One switch for every app
A single sound switch is shared by the whole suite. Turn it off in one Zenith app and it's off in all of them. It's on by default.
- Zenith Launcher: "suite tap & nav sounds", in the suite part of its settings.
- Zenith Calendar: "sound — everywhere in zenith", on Settings › the calendar's voice. There it also governs the calendar's own voice and its back sound.
Each app's own voice
On top of the shared cues, Zenith Launcher and Zenith Calendar each have a voice of their own. It's generated on your phone as you touch things, with no recordings. It plays notes pitched by where your finger is, so moving across the screen comes out as music.
Both voices use the same five scales, with the same names in the same order, so a scale means the same thing on your home screen and in your calendar. The scale is kept per app, though. Your calendar can play in a different key from your home screen.
It plays nicely
Zenith sound follows your media volume, and it never takes over the audio. Your music keeps playing underneath.
