Weather triggers
A task can come forward when the weather turns — rain, snow, sun and the rest. In the app's words: "a star wakes on rain, sun or snow".
Switch weather triggers on
Open settings › "places & privacy" › "weather triggers". It starts off. While it's off, the weather is never checked.
Give a task a trigger
- Open the task's edit sheet. Under "weather trigger", tap "set".
- Under "surface this task when the weather is:", tick any of the conditions below.
- Choose "repeat whenever it returns": on, "fires each day the weather matches."; off, "fires once, then clears."
- Tap "save", then "save changes".
Saving the box with nothing ticked removes the trigger. The row then reads, for example, "rain, snow · repeats", with "edit" and "clear" beside it.
If weather triggers are off when you save, settings › "places & privacy" opens: "weather triggers are off — turn them on to use this".
The conditions
"clear sky", "cloudy", "fog", "rain", "snow", "thunderstorm", "hot", "cold" and "windy".
- "hot" is 28 °C or more.
- "cold" is 2 °C or less.
- "windy" is 30 km/h or more.
When it fires
Tasks checks the weather each time you open or come back to it, for open tasks with a trigger in every open sky — every sky in the dropdown, not only the one on screen. A task in another open sky is updated in its own sky. The tutorial sky and demo skies never ring. Offline, nothing changes.
On a match — any one of a task's conditions:
- the task becomes ★ priority
- a notification says, for example, "it's rain — a good moment for this.", and opens the task
A repeating trigger fires at most once a day. A once trigger fires one time and is then taken off the task, so its row reads "off" again.
While settings › "reminders" › "weather alerts follow quiet hours" is on — as it starts — the alert waits until quiet hours end and counts toward "interruptions a day". See Quiet hours & the daily limit.
With "weather triggers" switched off in settings › "notifications", the alert never comes, but the task is still lifted to priority. See Which alerts you get.
Undo
Saving the edit sheet makes no undo copy. Tap "clear" and save.
