Which alerts you get

Reference

settings › "notifications" — "which alerts you get, one switch each" — holds one switch for each kind of alert Tasks can send. The page says: "a kind you switch off is never delivered — not silenced, never sent."

The three switches

All three start on.

switchits line
"task reminders""when a task's reminder time arrives."
"location arrivals""when you reach a place tasks are tied to."
"weather triggers""when the weather matches a task's trigger."

What off means

A kind that's off is stopped before it is posted.

  • A time reminder that's off doesn't use up "interruptions a day".
  • The task's own work still happens. A weather trigger still lifts its task to priority, and a once-only weather trigger is still taken off after it fires.
  • A place arrival or weather alert that waits out quiet hours comes later as itself, so it still needs its own kind on.
