The binder

The binder is the page where all your almanacs live — your calendars, each a named, coloured layer of commitments. Each almanac is a glowing body on a spine, in order, with its status. It is drawn in the same night-sky style as the calendar, not as a list of settings.

#Where to find it

• On the calendar, hold the "almanacs" book, bottom right.
• Tap "manage ▸" at the end of the almanac chips in the legend — the row of chips you tap to show or hide almanacs.
• Open Settings › the almanac binder. Leaving the binder then brings settings back, and its way back reads "‹ settings" instead of "‹ the calendar".

What is true of every almanac at once lives on the binder's own settings panel, not on a settings page.

#What is on it

Each almanac is a body in its colour. It grows bigger the more it holds, and wears its mark — the small symbol or picture it carries — or its first letter.

• A ring shows what feeds it. Brackets mean it is locked. A hollow body means it is eclipsed — hidden without deleting anything.
• A letter beside it names its source: "G" Google, "O" Outlook, "E" work or Exchange, "D" Drive, "Z" Zenith or unknown.
• One status line sits under its name.

The corners.

• Top left: the way back, the title "the binder", and the hint "tap to open · hold to move".
• Top right: "AI" — "ask the sky about your almanacs", using ask the sky, the calendar's built-in AI assistant. When it is off, it asks you to "turn on ask the sky in settings first". Next to it, "shuttle" opens the Shuttle — the suite's shared tray for passing text and files between Zenith apps.
• Bottom left: "add" (✛). Tap to make a new commitment. Hold for "✛ a commitment", "◔ an almanac" or "✎ a journal entry".
• Bottom right: "key" — "how to read an almanac" — and "settings" (⚙). Tap ⚙ for the binder's settings panel, hold it for quick settings.

A new almanac is named "almanac ‹N›", and its page opens at once. Three almanacs of your own are free. Past that, without Gold, the Gold offer opens instead, led by "unlimited almanacs".

Archived almanacs. When anything is archived, "archived · N ›" sits below "add". It opens the archived view, where the hint reads "archived · tap to open" and "‹ on the calendar" leads back.

Empty. The binder says "no almanacs yet", or "nothing archived" in the archived view.

#Tap, hold and reorder

• Tap a body to open that almanac's page. A plain up-and-down drag scrolls the spine.
• Hold and drag anywhere on the row — the body or its words — and the almanac moves to wherever your finger is. A locked almanac can still be moved.
• Order decides what comes first. An almanac's place in the binder is its rank. When a day has commitments at the same time, they are listed in that order in the brief — the list of a day's commitments along the bottom of the screen — and in the fan, a picked day's commitments spread inside the year ring. Two almanacs' bodies on one day stand one above the other in that order.

#The key — "HOW TO READ AN ALMANAC"

Tap "key" for a small sheet. Each row draws the mark itself, beside its meaning.

On an almanac's own page, the same marks are drawn larger. "close" shuts the sheet.
