Weather

A faint line at the foot of the sky — the whole calendar screen, one canvas that becomes each view — shows the weather where you are: a glyph and the temperature, for example "✦ 18°".

Where it is. The bottom centre of the sky, drawn faintly over the stars and under the bodies. There is no setting for it.

#The glyphs

Units. The temperature is shown in Celsius, rounded to a whole degree. There is no setting to change it.

#Where it comes from

Current conditions come from Open-Meteo. It needs no account and no key.

• When. Asked each time the app comes back to the front, and no more than once in 30 minutes.
• Which place. The place the app has already saved. Failing that, the phone's last known location, which is read only if you have given location permission. With neither, nothing is asked and no weather is shown.
• Privacy. Your position is rounded to two decimal places before it is sent, so your precise position never leaves the phone.
• If it fails, the line is not drawn.
